Start of the long and bumpy road........

Well we got the offer accepted yesterday afternoon for an excellent price.

The sad part about it, is it is being sold by a couple that is divorcing and they have a little boy who seems to be about 6. Supposedly, the H was having an affair with a mutual friend of theirs. Regardless it is just sad.

The other house we looked at was actually in the process of going into foreclosure. The family was actually home when we went to look at the house. They were so friendly and the kids were so cute, it just broke my heart to think they were going to lose their home.

The house is on about 1 acre of land in a pretty good subdivision and is only 4 years old. It is set up for kids. On one side of the house are two bedrooms and a very small bedroom that could be a kids media room or.....nursery. Upstairs there is a bedroom and bath which my Mom has claimed for when she comes to visit. The rest of the living areas and master bedroom are nice. The house will also be good for entertaining with a Tiki bar and a very nice deck and 6 person hot tub. The laundry/mud room has extra storage for kids sports gear, etc

My W seems very happy with the whole sitch....though she is dreading moving. She told me last night "officially" that I needed to let our friends know that I am renting from that I will not be needing the house anymore.....I was thinking "well yeah...." She is seeming to be more like her old self, though improved slightly and I am feeling more comfortable now.

Overall I am very excited, but nervous about selling W's home. I guess I shouldn't stress out too much.
