I'm off today to give W a break from the kids. Last Wed/Thur W called me at work and was basically having a nervous breakdown, kids driving her crazy, crying over her relationship with her parents, and on and on, so I agreed to take off work today to give her a break
Kids were all in my room this morning jumping on me and playing around, then W calls to let me know D9 has golf lesson this morning, I quickly took down the info and handed the phone to my kids, they each got a turn to talk to her, one of the D6 asked her "when are you comming home mommy" - loved it, then S5 got on the phone "I love you mommy" S5 hung up the phone and W called back immediately, She thanked me for giving her a break today, I said no problem, (kept conversation it short) told her I was going to take kids to the pool, etc. She could hear the kids playing laughing jumping on me, told her I had to go, as we said goodbye, I could her her voice, she was crying.
I always write: Well "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" I hear whistling in my head. I'll find love again someday. What is the bright side of a little boy wanting his mommy, to hold him, to kiss him, to tuck him into bed and chase his fears away.
We all have a long haul ahead of us, good or bad it's the path we choose in life that's important.
