Nice to have you back!!!! Ohhhh, and keep that number because you never know when you will run out of batteries, I learnt the hard way and I am trying to quit... LOL!!!
It's good to be back, although I could have used another week break from all this. Being forcibly cut off from internet and having limited contact with the outside world is definitely a nice thing. I really do not want to deal with my H right now. Plus, there are a lot of really great people in my unit and it was great to really hang out with them and get to know people better.
The flirting is definitely a PMA boost. This guy is seriously hot. He was one of the three guys getting the most talk in the female barracks lol. He is in great shape, 27, and is very charming. Little bit of a southern accent, plays the guitar, AND can sing. He smokes, which is a definite huge negative lol, but nobody's perfect right?
Apparently someone in my company let slip something about me being S and possibly getting D soon, so now practically the whole freaking battalion knows. RUMINT (rumor intelligence) travels faster than any other kind of intel lol. Of course, in this case it's actually accurate, which is kind of shocking.

My H and I are both in the national guard. I was gone for annual training.
It was a lovely week. High of 43C, no air conditioning, not even a fan in the barracks. Strangely it felt good though. It reminded me of why I actually like being in the military.
Of course, the paperwork hassles from today are making me regret ever commissioning lol.

(2:56:04 PM) H: Would you like the kitchen stuff or any more of the furniture? I won't have any use for it shortly and it'd be sad for teh cast iron all to rust (3:09:05 PM) H: If you don't feel like talking that's fine. But the offer is open... free stuff. Don't get that everyday (3:51:15 PM) Me: i still want the cast iron, yes H: alright, I'll set it aside in a box for ya Me: i would also like some of the rest of the kitchen stuff perhaps Me: i don't have room for more furniture though H: fair enough, you can just have the kitchen boxes entirely or you can rummage Me: i haven't signed the papers yet because they need to be fixed. blank spots, missing attachments, and we do have community property - the car. H: I didn't notice any attachments needed, but ok, more your field than mine Me: not really. i want nothing to do with family law, but my friend told me not to sign them. so i'm not. H: well if you jot down what you want changed we can write it in or come to a compromise H: I didn't expect the first one would be sufficient since I was hoping to just decide on property ourselves, we can write everything in H: did you get to shoot an AT-4 btw? Me: i don't have anything else to say to you at this point H: fair enough, I'm just trying to maintain a dialogue so we can agree on any thing on the papers needing changed Me: i need you to find out how to get my name off your car. what DMV paperwork needs to be done H: if you'll write down what you want changed I can write another draft Me: i need you to fill out the financial attachments that are required to be submitted with it H: some of those you'll need to fill out too Me: yep H: alrighty then, I'll look into those things for you Me: okay H: but it'll happen tomorrow, right now I'm going to the pub, it's been 3 years today [since guy in his platoon was shot by a sniper and died] Me: he deserves that, no doubt about it
