The only way to get through this is to feel the pain. Breaking up is a process in itself. There are no games or quick fixes. What may be easier for someone else may not be nearly as easy for you because you do sound like a very sensitive guy. So really all you can do is listen to your heart and not what anyone else tells you to do.
Personally I think that what helped me the most was keeping busy. Doing things and being with people that you are comfortable with and enjoy can be a great help in healing and may help to feel less alone. I just was never much for playing mind games with myself.
