I like that you're thinking of not pressuring W at the moment, but I do think she needs to feel a bit of a shake-up. She may not even be aware of how you feel about the state of the M (I say that given that IMHO a woman who would threaten to leave in front of her kids must me a bit not in touch with reality). Have you had any thoughts on when to broach the subject?
