Hey Jeff, thanks for coming by my thread. And I just had grilled sweet potato and it was so good. You sound like you are doing really well.

So many great changes for you, my friend. It is about time you started taking care of you.

Thats what this journey is about for us, being the best we can be.

Jeff - You kill me! the BBQ sounds like a nice idea even if you're already living in a darned oven! Does the charcoal just burst into flames the minute you put it outside or do you actually have to light it still?

If we wait late enough, we can go outside without melting into a puddle! I like to cook on the grill in the summer, since it keeps the heat out of the house. We've got a gas grill on the patio, so I can cook without going into the direct sun!

It only got to 107 today. It is actually a little cooler than that where we live, we are about 500 feet higher than Tucson itself!

Hi Jeff! (Oh, you're in bed, right?)
So you said...
Quote:
Your question abou the elephant is good. I have been going with the act as if I don't even notice what whe is doing method. As though what she is doing doesn't concern me.
.. is that acting "as if" in a DB sense ? Because from following your thread it seems you have been taking this approach for AGES and ages... I understand what you're saying, but nothing is changing and so maybe its time to try something different, as the good book says? If you give something 3-4 weeks (?) and see baby steps, keep doing what you are doing, else try something else?

How about, saying to her, so, I had a good time when I was away. If she doesnt respond, tell her what you did anyway..Next time you ask her how her day was and she just says "Ok", try again, ask her what happened at work today, did she have a nice lunch? Dont just let her leave it at "OK".

I'm saying, as an outsider, your sitch seems kind of stuck, but if you change the way you behave toward people, it changes the way they are with you, right?

I'm the only person here poking you. So, back to food.. I just had 3 rounds of marmite toast and I'm one happy Ali.

Ali xxx

Poke away!

My sitch is pretty stuck. I will think about what you said, and write more later!
