I'M BACK!!!! Spent the last week at the cottage. Still no internet. Didn't miss it a bit.

I spent much of the week cleaning, reorganizing and getting some estimates on repair of a retaining wall (slowly collapsing and leaning on the cottage in one corner). The wall has become the priority now that the elevator is a done deal. I want to do some cosmetic improvements too but yardwork is SCREAMING my name.

This has been a wet Spring up north. The water level is still so high that I have no beach. It is also quite buggy. Hope that blows over by the time I go back (9 More days). I have my BC friends coming for a visit then so I cleaned the place really well. It took a long time. Of course, that is because I wanted to play too.

Back home - things are great! Ash is in a better mood (it might not last but I'll take it while I can). Since I canned the cleaning woman (long story), Ash took over the cleaning - yes, I am paying her but she has done a good job too!

Ash forgot to tape Bach. I am SO bummed. I'll try to catch it on U-Tube. Karen - what happened? Tell me Jason is still in. And Jeremy. I hope they're the last 2. Anyone see it?

Did she cut Tully (sp?) or Graham? I thought both should have gone last week.

Tried to find it on U Tube - but no luck.

Thanks Jilly Bean!

yes, Tully go bye bye- he will find a nice girl tho I am sure, hes a nice , funny guy.

Shes gaga over Graham. Not my type but whatever.

The first half of the show was a "half time report" she talked about what has gone on w/ the show so far. Then the second half was the real show and now she has 4 and next week is hometown visits!

Glad you had a nice time at the cottage Barb, still love that n ame, so romantic, ~~~~~cottage~~~~~

Thanks K!

I kind of thought Graham and Tully were both kind of boring for her. And I know Jill likes Jesse but I think he is SO not her type. Can't imagine going to Jesse and Graham's houses. But Jason and Jeremy??? OH YEAH!

"Cottage" - hmmm - yes - it is a very common thing in Northern Ontario. Heart's desire for so many. But when I say I'm a "Cottager", my English pals tell me that's a bad word. Like a swear word. Do you know that??? LOL!

Well, happy to be back in my home sweet home. Elevator and all.

Thanks Bethie!

I thought of you a lot this week. Had hoped we could do a DB get together there this month - but I had dropped the ball on it. There were some things that desperately needed to be fixed there and I was not able to make plans ahead with the elevator in the works. Turns out it has been damper and buggier than normal. Let's hope we can do it in a dryer month. Hope you're still game.

Just got an estimate on the retaining wall - over $12,000! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! OUCH! Sure hope I can find a better price elsewhere. I have 2 more estimates in the works. We'll see.

Well, so much for my beach cottage. More like a "beachless cottage". Sure hope the water goes down soon or I'll be sunning on the dock instead.

Hope your summer is going well so far.

That Jason is just about the darn cutest thing !!! and hes the sweetest dad!! i just want to pinch his cheeks!!!

Never heard cottager being a bad word, but we are not up to par w a lot of the lingo anymore.

I guess our equivalent to a cottage would be a cabin up at the mts. a getaway that only takes an hour or so to get to, A beach house would be wonderful but that would be for the rich and famous lol
