He didn't have to put you on the list. I think you go. Don't sneack in, but don't look for the spotlight, either. If you want to know what he is about these days, you need to listen to his music, yes? You'll get to observe him, how he interacts with people, and all. Then, make sure he sees you, but don't go right to him. Be available, but see if he comes to you. But don't expect it. Look at the whole thing as a bit of an experiment!

You could send him a flyer to your concert, with a note, like, "thanks for the details on your performance. If you are interested, here's the info on mine!"

I agree with Jeff!!! You should definitely send him your schedule and you should go to his concert. I don't think you should check with him to make sure it's "okay" for you to attend. I truly don't think he would have included you in on the email if it wasn't okay for you to be there. He could have easily forgotten to add your name to the mass email list.

Big hugs,

Darling T. Go to B's concert but dont email him about it (dont second guess it - if he didnt want to invite you he wouldnt have included you on the email). He will be thrilled that you have shown up. Take a girlfriend. Look HOT. Go up aftewards to speak to him with girlfriend and be enthusiastic about his music. Smile lots. Introduce girlfriend. And see what happens.
You dont have to invite him to your concert - if you'd rather him not be there. Its more important that you go to his concert!
You are doing fantastic!

((((JEFF)))(((((WHERE)))))(((((ESSIE)))))

thank you so much, darling friends!!! I forwarded B's concert invite to one of my best friends in NYC and I'm going to see if she'll go with me. I will definitely go, and definitely look hot!!

I am not sure about asking him to my concert on Saturday. Last year pre-bombs it was a big schlep for him to get out to NJ to see my concert at the festival. So it is kind of a lot to ask someone to do, and might just make me feel nervouser that he might be there and then more disappointed when he probably didn't come. *THOUGH* he did ask me when the concert would be when I saw him, and if it would be in the same church it was in before....???????

Oh... two other minor detail things I remembered from the meeting. *for the record* he got REALLY excited about my new cellphone. (JEFF!) When I pulled it out to check the time he got really excited and said, "NICE phone!" Makes me wonder how else I can wow him with new electronics! Also, we talked about seeing the moon the previous night. It was like this sliver of reddish-brown moon that was rising between skyscrapers. Neither of us pointed out that since we saw the moon do the same thing we were probably checking it out at the same time.

I am feeling overall OK but sometimes I feel like my heart is breaking all over again after this last meeting.

Today I have a masterclass with Joseph Kalichstein, one of the greatest chamber music players & pianists of all time!! Gotta go eat my breakfast and then warm up...

Hey T,

Thanks for your post. You're a musician? What do you play? I did a music degree but haven't played since really. I'm thinking that could be the next step in my GAL.

Sounds like you are having fun and I'm so pleased to hear about everything. Can I have a little bit of your good luck please? :-) No, you deserve it. I can't believe your patience!

Question: Should I take *more* than one friend with me? If I really was going to a friend's concert, I would try to take as many people with me as possible to be as supportive as possible and fill out the audience. But would that be too much like I had an entourage, or would that make it harder for him to approach and talk to me? Would it seem like I "needed" back up?

(((Julia))) Dear sweet J, thank you for *your* post! I am a cellist! What do you play?? That is great that you have a music degree! You think I have good luck? Do not worry girl, time is on your side... patience is the way. There is a little voice in my head that keeps telling me over and over to be patient... \:\)

((((Kalni))) I am going to the concert, and I wish I could take you with me!!!

There in youtube of D Burne's project I meant to post for you...

I wish I were there too. Take just one person you are very comfortable with.

I'm thinking my yellow knit empire waist halter dress. It is also very sexy without looking like I am trying hard at all. I am told I look really good in yellow too!! With my black bra underneath with little white polka dots... and some kind of necklace he hasn't seen. Maybe my other new purse. I"m not sure about the shoes... my acqua earth shoes gave me a big blister, my red high heels are way less comfortable than I thought, so maybe my green flip flops ?? or my black sandals which he has seen a million times? I could try to get a new pair but I am not sure I will have time....

there are many other options for the outfit but for some reason I am "feeling" the yellow knit for the 2nd time I see him.

I'll call my friend again today to see if she can come with me.

The master class with kalichstein went well, and I think I had a technical breakthrough last night w/ my cello technique. yay!!!
