When my wife was having her affair, at this time last year, one of the things I said to her (and to her parents and to our adult daughters) was, that I didn't understand why she was so hell-bent on leaving the marriage. She had had NO serious complaints, just some small stuff ("he spends too much time on that laptop of his" and "he spends too much time at those damned ballfields!"), and I told her that I could understand possibly wanting some time apart to see if we could get that "spark" back or something, but why was she seemingly so HELL-BENT on running away from ALL of us (her family, too)???
