lwb: I am scared about this race, its my first big one!
I can understand, take your time, and thats it, run your race, check your time and the next race, see if you can improve on your time.
Check out the Big River Running Company, they have people that will help you train for these races, and it doesn't cost you anything, all they want is you to shop at their store and possibly wear one of their shirts when you run.
You will do fine, good luck, just think you are accomplishing more than most just by getting out there and running.
We all have a long haul ahead of us, good or bad it's the path we choose in life that's important.
