I remember when I told my stbx that that was a condition, he out right said no, that if that was my final condition that it was over, right then I should've realized that he was just not going to put me first, I just prolonged my agony an extra week, but, whatever.
Glad you are at peace with fact that if he doesn't come through you will be content with your life, after all the crap you/I went through, there comes a point when peace is totally welcome even it the outcome wasn't what we originally wanted.
