My H's pet peave is stupid people. What he means is people who are uneducated and don't use common sense. There is also a woman I work with from Dusseldorf, and her opinion of her culture is that they don't have much patience for stupid people, and tend to say exactly what is on their mind. I don't know what your H is thinking, but Germans are hard workers by nature and generally do not take well to people who quit.
