So yeah...I have sciatica. I bent over oh-so-slightly this morning to grab my purse, and SPROING went my back. Excruciating pain. I ended up on the floor, laughing like a moron because it was just too funny.

I am in the last week of teaching, and it's been a really tough group. I'm in no doubt that this is my body's way of screaming about the stress and taking care of myself.

Anyway, H was wonderful. He helped me find a chiropractor and spent the whole morning with me at the doc. He noted how well I was taking everything, couldn't believe I was laughing. I guess I have changed a lot...I just couldn't see the point in getting angry at something so out of my control. So I made all my calls to cover my classroom from the floor and laughed at the situation.

The chiro helped a ton--I have a few more sessions scheduled, so hopefully this will all be much better in the next couple of weeks. I'm thinking it won't help that FRIDAY IS MY LAST DAY WITHOUT STUDENTS!!! Don't get me wrong, I love them and I love my job, but they've been VERY challenging and it's time for all of us to move on.
