Maybe her cruddy appearance is an indicator of her depression? Not that you ever said she was, but if she is in an MLC and trying new things, maybe her looks are a sign of her unhappiness?

Congrats to your daughter. Sounds like a great girl. I personally find it a little much that they now have preschool graduations, kindergarten graduations, elementary graduations, middle school graduations, etc. etc.
Not to sound like an old lady, but "In My Day" we only graduated from High School. My son loves it though b/c he got presents from the grandparents--ok and from us, too.
