You devil you. You should point out his hypocrisy if he keeps implying you are shirking your responsibilities as a mother. Congrats on what sounds like a good night out. Man, I'd kill to see that top. You didn't mention pants. Did you wear pants?

It is a great top! I was looking good--did the full makeup & the hair again-again wonder if H noticed though. I hate to disappoint you but I was just wearing some J. Crew jeans (I love those)! It was casual dress for the party! Karen
Yes, I was wearing pants, but when I got home and H was in his disapproving mood then I dropped them asap in case he didn't leave right away--but he did leave right away (before I got half naked)! Is that the silliest way of getting rid of a WAS or what? Karen
So H sent me an email and he sounded like he had cooled down quite a bit; maybe the OW calmed him down or something. He said it's great I'm going out and if I want to stay out all night he'll stay with the kids, and enjoys being with the kids when I'm out. He's going to try to get his own place soon too so I'll have more freedom. And gave me some info on a job fair in my town this week. (I guess I'll be waiting on the divorce papers to come in soon too.) I guess he thinks I'm like him, but I really don't feel the need for all-night dates while I"m still married!!! Karen

Yup.
I used to feel like I had to 'match' H's habits of going out in order to get a life. Now, I realize, I am always where I want to be, either home with the girls, or out with friends. No need to stay out all night here either, I like sleep too much.
Why do you think divorce papers are headed your way?

The way my H said he thought it was great I'm going out, encouraging me to go out all night, and he's going to get his own place so I can have more freedom sounds to me like someone who is ready to have totally separate lives and maybe file for divorce. I mean why wait if he feels like that. Don't you think? Karen

It sounds to me like the THREAT of it. Doesn't necessarily mean the CREDIBLE threat of it. Most people chicken out when it comes to actually filing for divorce.
