It matters to him because he will get extra money - higher level of housing allowance, family separation pay, etc. since we are M. Money that is supposed to be for me to maintain our house and lifestyle. Except we don't have an "our" house. When this came up last fall during the fires and he was put on state active duty, I told him I was upset that he claimed me as a dependent so he would get more money and then didn't share it with me. I guess he feels guilty for keeping all that money. If he does that again while he's deployed, it will amount to thousands and thousands of dollars extra for him over the course of that year.

I feel like we have slid back months. He hadn't brought up any of this stuff either subtly or not so subtly since like February! And what happened to wanting to date and give it a shot!?! Stupid DAM.

And yes, he was drunk. I cleaned up his typos and stuff. But like I said, he said "I'm not in the mood, I just had a cop stop me and give me a ride home from the pub"
