What kind of law are you planning on practicing? I am a paralegal right now in civil litigation, employment/labor and all that jazzzzzzz....
Im still standin better than I ever did looking like a true survivor feeling like a little kid Im still standin after all this time and Im picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind..
I have done some general civil stuff which I enjoy. I've worked for the county and the state and generally enjoyed both. I like the variety and the random questions that come up. Also gives me a reason to keep up with current events. lol
Not interested in doing litigation. Nor family law.
I'd love to stay with the gov, not sure if that'll happen with the current state budget crisis though. We shall see I suppose. I don't really have to worry about it until next April since I won't even be taking the Bar until February 2009.

I have done all aspects of civil litigation, and corporate real estate, which I really enjoyed! Whatever it is you decide to do, you are almost there, and will be fabulous!!

I am here too. Just quiet. I've done Law School but the International Affairs part of it. It was fun and VERY interesting. I wanted to become a diplomat. Then I realised a diplomat can't have a nice family. Look at me now... K
Well, we all make choices. One of the other reasons I'd like to work for the government instead of a big firm is that I'll only have to work 40-50 hours a week, instead of 70-90. I want to have a life outside work, especially since I need time to devote to my M (if my H ever lets me lol). But the money won't be nearly as good, so there are things I won't be able to do, or afford.
Do you think you would do things differently now? Even though things might have worked out better if I had made different choices, I don't think I would change much outside my M.

I have done many many mistakes. What I chose to study was definitely one of them, a couple of jobs I turned down were too, waiting for my H 8 years ago to come back to me after a 6 months separation was definitely a mistake. I wouldn't change one single thing though. I have many stories to tell when I get old. Funny and fun stories. I wish my parents thought so too...
(((hugs))) LT! No regrets- you made the best choices for the time that you made them, and you'll do the same now too! For some reason it makes me feel old to write that.
Now I'm going to have to go into flirting overdrive with Jeff to make myself feel young again!
