My sense is that his asking for your involvement on the speech was a good thing, along the lines of inclusion. I agree with Ali that there is potentially some irony given the content, but not necessarily so if he is making steps forward towards you, as I think he is. Re: CEO, my take is definitely jealously and he is trying to reassure himself by taking a stab at the CEO's age. And I'm not surprised the CEO was taking a stab at your H. because he is also (a) jealous and interested in you and (b) is probably feeling protective of you. What a strange place for you to see those two knocking heads over you! Well, at least you're in demand!
