I really can't believe that JA is pumping your 7 year old for information!! That really pisses me off!~ Doesn't he realize the damage he is doing??

MrsH, if he just shows up, go out...take the boys to a playground or something. Do you have any friends in the area who don't care if you just stop by? you could get the boys all excited if JA pulls up and surprise them with "we are going to ....house to play!"

JA needs more than a 2x4. He should be utterly ashamed of himself!

I think S7 is probably acting depressed/sad because I'm sure he knows he's lying for his dad. What kind of arse would have their child lie to their mother?? He's upsetting me and he's not my H so I can only imagine how you feel MrsH. BUT, good for you for NOT losing it on him. I don't think I would've been able to NOT interrupt that conversation!

Thanks Imp! Sometimes it's good to have a male perspective and one who has traveled down the road of divorce himself. I totally agree that dbing should remain outside the room during discussions of settlement/custody. It becomes a business deal.

Thank you for looking into the NY law. I don't know much about that state's divorce laws except for what Sting has discussed w/me over the years. The law there is quite a bit different than the MD law.

Enjoy your summer!

You're welcome, Snod. In all honesty, my divorce was simple. She had an attorney draw up papers. I told them what to change and that was that.

And the NY laws are tough. I was amazed considering how liberal a state it is. And just a little personal note, if I could do my life again, I would be a constitutional lawyer.

Anyway to MrsH, hang in there. Your life is what you make it and you will get through this no matter what happens.
