Typical behavior, yes.

Behavior that should be tolerated? NEVER.

Quite frankly it's an incredibly rude and thoughtless action that not even a temporarily insance MLC spouse can possibly explain away.

If he wants to talk to HER, go for a ride or a walk.

PERIOD.

Tolerating this kind of behavior definitely constitutes allowing yourself to be treated like a doormat.
