As for CG, your gut was right on with him. You went slow, took an emotional risk - and gave yourself the time you needed to see if your gut was right - or clouded by your own fears. In line in front of me was his best friend and her girlfriend. I joined them while I was waiting for my friend... I asked them what to get S for his B-day. S is NOTORIOUS for being terrible to buy for. He just has very simple taste and does not have many desires. They begged me to get him some decent clothes! LOL! He does dress a lot better now that he has a stylish Berkeley Architect Major Girlfriend...but in true nerd fashion he just doesn't pay attention to his clothes. So I was glad for the tip.
