I guess part of me likes being from the north east. I live on the louisiana/mississippi border and have been here for about 13 years. It is certainly a cultural difference. My W is a southern bell princess My W used to love my accent, now I sound like every other redneck unless I have recently talked to my mom.
I do miss a lot from the north east (seasons, culture, cool weather!, etc). I don't much miss the majority of the politics of massachusetts.
It must have been quite the change to go from Canada to Ven. At least if would have been for me....I am horrible at spanish
