That doesn't surprise me. You do need to send the check to be registered. The local people who run it are all volunteers. I'm sure 15 years ago when he started doing this volunteer job he was more compassionate than he is today. Unfortunately people get tired of doing that kind of a job. Don't take it personally. Send the check. The lead couples will be warm and compassionate. He's just the ticket taker.
