You can do it!!! I am sure he will stay. It sounds like from your posts that he spends a fair amount of time over there. Just keep your head and show your confidence! The kicker would be to get to a point where you would ask him to leave after a while. Like we got a busy day tomorrow. I am not sure I would do it (since I love having my W around) and I don't know your relationship well enough to know if this is a good thing (might not be good to experiment so close to going out of town) but it would certainly add to the "mystery" and "dimness" that is talked about in the DB books.
