I feel for you my dear. I too have felt the night time blues since my H left me last summer. Your spouse sounds so much like mine. You definately should keep those hopes alive for reconciling because your spouse is showing the signs of regret, mine did the same thing even when he was giving me no verbal confirmations of this. I'm new to this website and I found out that so many of us go through hauntingly identical situations it's almost like there's a script for our spouses when they leave! I'm glad you are here. If you can afford it, try to get a DB coach, it seems that they really help people. I'm anxious to hear what mine says when I finally get a consult. When you are in pain, its so hard to see what in the world you could possibly do to change it. The nights will become easier when you feel that you have hope and a PLAN for how to deal with your situation. I am pulling for you. Try not to show too much of your pain right now to the H, he may see it as a "guilt trip" even if you didn't mean it that way. Hang in there and remember, a lot of us are up at night the same time you are. We're here for you.

(((Debbie))) you are so right. It's so hard to even think some times. And then God and his sense of humor...it strikes again.

Today I dropped my cell phone on the floor. It shut off. So I go to turn it back on and looked at it a bit later to see if I missed any calls. I notice that two messages were sent. I didn't text anyone. It was a message I sent to my H at the beginning of the week spouting off the apology for the suggestive comment...sent again. And before I knew it, I was hitting resend...not on purpose mind you. I had come to terms with letting him have his space. So in my intention of NOT contacting him for a few days, especially after yesterday, it seems I did anyway!!!!!

AHHHHHHHH Jeff I really need that drink....

Have a drink. Or two. Lol.

I wouldn't say anything about it. If he asks, say your phone has a mind of it's own.

(((Lola)))

It'll be fine. Hang in there.

I had to laugh. It was really funny...but the first fifteen minutes I panicked and shut the phone off. The other message went to a friend of mine, saying that I had heard no response and was humiliated, and then she panicked when she tried to call me and found my phone off. I called her back laughing, and realized that you really have to look at the humor in the situation!
