Look, you know the answers to all these questions. I think the point our friends here are trying to make is that you could answer this question yourself.
Considering the amount of time you've been on this site, and the enormous and valuable input you've received from some very experienced DB'ers, your post should have read like this...
"H has been more helpful lately in offering help to bring D back home. I also hear that he's been seeing his Mom some lately for the first time in awhile. And he just INSISTED on volunteering in D's class for the end of year party.
I have to say it's nice to have him be helpful instead of hurtful. Maybe he ate his wheaties for breakfast this week, lol.
