1)SIL--Mom (MIL) told me about your problem, I am here for you, let me know if you want me to watch the kids any time, come to your dr. appt, etc....Thinking of you!
Okay, it was a nice gesture on her part, but I am irritated that MIL told her b/c I told MIL that my MOM didn't even know. Besides, I am pretty sure it is going to be nothing, so that seems melodramatic.
2)MIL--BBJ, I can't stop thinking about you. Let me know if you want me to take the afternoon off and go to the appt. with you.
Okay, I already HAVE a mom. I can imagine my mom's reaction if she found out MIL went with me!!! I called her back, said thanks but no thanks. Appreciate it, blah blah blah, but no.
Maybe by tomorrow it will be in the hometown newspaper.....
