Can you send her an iPod nano? They are TINY and might escape detection. You can send her music, or even audio books.
If she likes to draw, maybe she can sketch out a mural that can be painted on the wall of her new bedroom...?
I hope that her brother and her can lean on each other (some kids huddle up, others get on the other's nerves under pressure). There can be a lot of non-tangible games that they can come up with--my kids love PunchBuggy when we are in the car.
