Okay, so if he doesn't give you the money soon then you won't be able to pay bills and such, huh?

At this point really the only thing you can do is be sweet as honey and ask for it. Tell him you hate to bother him about it but you really do need it to pay in order to pay your bills for the summer or the electricity or whatever will get shut off...

If he continues to spew...just continue to be nice..."look, sorry you feel that way....blah blah blah"...and I wouldn't bother you....etc, etc, etc...
