Do you think it's ok if I instigate time together for D17 and her dad?
D17 has spent exactly 5 whole days/nights with him in the past year. She has told me she would like to spend more time with him, but she "doesn't want to impose". She wants to be invited by him, not invite herself over. Guess the issue is her dad is living at GF's house. Everyone still calls it "GF's house; not THEIR house".
Her dad's work schedule is erratic, but he does have a week off starting Sunday. I asked if D17 could stay there all week. Then I asked for just Sunday and Monday. Of course, her dad asks "why?" (the previous time she stayed the night was because my mom was sick and I went out of town). I asked in an email, "what time should D17 be over on Sunday morning?" No response. Now I feel like just saying D17 will be over there at noon and I won't expect her back until 9pm on Monday.
D17 wants to spend more time with her dad. She needs time away from me!!! I need time away from her!!! Her dad just doesn't get it!!!! (of course, he hasnt' for 17 years,so why should he now??)
