Hi shoe,

One thing to try - get an account on LinkedIn.com, which is one of the better ones for professional networking. You may be able to find a new position through some people you know - worth a shot! Good luck!

Hey shoe

BH helped me create an online portfolio type thing

it is efolio

it is nice because you can include all your references, resume, and then things about yourself.

A friend of mine who teaches at the college says they look for it all the time

you might want to try it and then you can include the website on your cover letter

(Plus you feel productive...)

Hi Shoe:

I just caught up on your thread.

I am so sorry to hear about your job stuff! I was fired w/in weeks of my D becoming legal. It is tough dealing with that on top of D and X stuff. Hang in there and keep taking care of yourself. And make sure you maintain your faith in yourself that you will find a job - it is just a matter of time. I also use working out and gardening to relax - I am glad to see that you are taking care of you.

Accounting is a strong area and opens up a lot of options in a lot of different areas. Office manager is an option in all sorts of small businesses. I am not familiar with your background - there are probably lots of others too. Something is bound to work out. My goal was to send out a resume a day when I was out of work. Anything - something was better than nothing. Sometimes that one turned into ten - once I got moving. And all you need is one job offer - the gagilion rejections - at least in my case - didn't matter.

I am also very happy to hear that Tyson's kidney levels are down. I have been giving my 18 year old cat, Antigone fluids for over three years now. Although she eats whatever she wants - the fluids flush out the toxins so I have relaxed on her diet. Ask your vet if that might be an option for Tyson.

take care,
AG

Hey Princess!!!

I liked Rob's suggestion of signing up on Linkedin. It's a great tool and I already know of 2 people who it's worked for. The networking is invaluable.

How is the job market in Cali at the moment?

Well I'll be thinking about you and I'm crossing my fingers!

Love,
Bethie

morning all.
Thanks for all the suggestions this morning. Feeling a bit blah today. As well as tired. But I shall get over it. The job market stinks here in Cali. But I have to have faith that I will find somnething.

I was thinking of asking the vet about his diet in the next month or so. I feel bad I can't give him a small piece of chicken. Although yesterday I made a baked potato with a little sour cream, set it on the coffee table to get some water and the little bugger had gotten on there as was licking the sour cream and eating the potato \:\/

That's cute!

FA's dog got on the table one time and ate some quesdillas that I made. Full of jalapenos, too. I thought she would pay the price later but nope, no sign of her ever eating them. Cookies on the other hand, well I won't go there!

Yeah, Ewwwwww is right.

She is a little devil sometimes. Hope she's enjoying her time at doggie daycare. She's probably terrorizing the other dogs! LOL!
