but I gather that he is actually probably pretty intelligent and driven in the things he does. OW seems so young and just not on the same wavelength as your H. Just what I have gathered from what you write....so....I DON"T GET IT!!
He is DEFINITELY intelligent. He has always struggled with the driven part in that he often gets interested in a new project and drops old projects. She is young, not on the same wavelength, drives him batty, yet he can't seem to break up with her.
Partially because she won't accept it, but partially because he is getting something from her that he doesn't get from me. He feels inferior to me. And I think my actions have often exacerbated that. While she obviously is inferior to him. In a couple IMs from last year he even referred to her as his "pet project!"
