Macy will be fine, thank you for the shoulder to cry on. She is 7 yrs old and has had a great life. It's just been a rough year. The surgery in December was because she was diagnosed with Pyometra. I feel bad because I guess it's common for females that aren't spayed. I was raised with male dogs-- never even heard of such a thing. She healed just fine and all was well until my neighbor's dog came charging into our yard and clamped hold of her neck. I am torn about what to do. My S and H want to contact the authorities, but I don't want the kids to lose their dog--they have always tried to keep him leashed or tied out. But, what if another animal is injured because he gets loose again?

What a wonderful summer for Niki! I love primates in a different sense because I used to sculpt them. I was into anthropology and Jane Goodall's work back in the day. I'd make a horrible vet though, because I physically feel pain when an animal or my kids get hurt. It's hard to explain but it just overwhelms me and I actually get pangs inside. I'm afraid I wasn't helpful this morning AT ALL when H did the morning cleaning of her wound before going to work.

That's the stuff I'm still worried about. He'll do everything, like superman, but then he used to silently resent me for all he has to do when he gets himself over extended.

Hope you're having a great day......
