Sounds like the interaction went well. You really handled yourself with dignity. I agree that you whould wait to be invited to karate.

You are absolutely right that you can both come out of this in a better place. More specifically though, you can.

Got an text from H today while at work that said, "Gutters are all clean and washed out." WOW! I told him last night if he felt strongly about it he was more than welcome to come clean them but I could manage it. I opened the door to allow him to perform "acts of service" for me without asking him or specifically agreeing to it. I think that was pretty good for me. I thanked him for taking care of that for me so I wouldn't scare myself on the ladder.

No invite to karate tonight. S13 made a point of telling me that H is taking him to karate. I told him I knew that and he didn't invite me. Oh well. We'll see if H says anything about me not coming.

H sent me a text from karate class asking me why I didn't come. I told him I didn't want to interrupt his time with S13 without being invited. He sent back to me that he had asked S13 if I was coming and he told him I was so he expected that I was driving myself. He said next time I should come with them and ride with them. Hmmmmm......

About 20 minutes later he sent me a text asking if he could pick up anything at the store for me so I gave him a short list. He called twice from the store to check on what kind of milk, what kind of bread, etc.

More interaction tonight. I was on my way home from work and I had taken the golf cart to save gas. I came past a house that has a really nice screened porch on the back with a TV out there, ceiling fan, comfy chairs and the older couple that lives there were sitting out there watching TV. It was a beautiful night so it was perfect for that. I felt compelled to send a text to H to tell him since we always said we wanted a porch just like that someday. I told him they were out there and I thought I could take 'em on...can anyone say home invasion? I sent back to me "LOL. You are such a dork!" We had some banter back and forth for a few minutes and then he had to get to work.

Tonight, he sent me a text asking me how my day was. I told him it was great and I took a walk when I got home, did some weights at home, etc. His response to that was "Good for you. You're looking really good." WHOAH!!!! That was totally unexpected! It made me feel pretty good! I told him he was looking pretty good too and he responded to me with, "Yeah right. I look like hell." I told him he always looks good to me but he did look a little tired. He agreed. We're still bantering a little right now. I really need to go to bed but I don't want to break this off yet.

I'll keep you guys posted. I'm just enjoying the positive interaction right now.

My cousin's middle son in graduating from high school tomorrow night so we're planning on lots of medication for her in the form of coconut rum and Fresca and a party afterward. I was going to a concert Saturday night but my friend ended up having to go out of town to a funeral and I WON'T go by myself to that. It's in a club north of Atlanta and I'm not about to walk into a place like that alone. I guess Joe Nichols will just have to wait to meet me another time!

Other than that, I don't have any plans yet. I haven't given up hope of making some though. What about you Grace?

Know the feeling of doing stuff alone....not nice, but usually I feel stronger afterwards ! So why not try it ? Or ask another friend to join you?

You're not kidding! Oh, come on.....you can do a 3 day drive in less than 2 can't you?

I'm looking for someone still but I do have a lead on someone that is willing to buy the tickets from me to take his wife so we'll see.
