Since he hasn't made a decision that he wants to be in the M, it's not a partnership at all. Thus, you are working on something that he is not very interested in at the moment.

Think of the see-saw. As long as you do all the work, he doesn't have to worry about it. That's where dropping the rope comes in. You gave him the choice, now drop the rope and let him make his decision. No pressure for the moment. No reminding him. Just let him think.

I was thinking, especially from the title, that it reflects his state of mind and perhaps even the awareness that he has withdrawn and has shut down. If it was really a break-up song, I somehow doubt he'd share it with you. My H certainly didn't, he sent "our" break-up song to OW.

Don't jump to conclusions. But do stick to your boundaries.
