We missed you too Michelle! Sorry about the trip back.
I agree that your H is lacking empathy. I can't believe he hasn't called to ask about your grandfather or how you are doing. Just goes to show that he really is in a fog.
I'm glad your back!! That is so weird that there is no word from H. It sounds like he is living under a rock, which no empathy can penetrate through!!!
Oh!! while I was in chicago a friend of mine mentioned this study that is using some kind of meditation/breathing technique to treat veterans with PTSD. I was thinking about it after hanging out with that friend and I thought that might be something your H would be interested in. Do you think he would be into something like that? I am trying to get the specifics from my friend via email, when I get them, I'll pass them on to you to do with as you wish.
Sounds interesting. It's worth looking into. I don't think it can hurt tooooo much to send it to him. The worst he'll do is not speak to me for two weeks perhaps lol. Maybe I'll suggest he pass it along to the friend who he thinks has PTSD really bad.
((((((everyone))))))

Sorry you had trouble coming back and about your H being so silent.
I am sure there must be a "non logical" excuse for his "absence". You are a veteran by now (maybe you should read the article T has) in handling "confused Hs"...
Good to have you back, we missed you, no parties without you. K

Yeah, I think the general rule is think of what a normal person would do, then expect the meanest opposite possible.
The heat this weekend was insane. We broke records. It was over 100 for 3 days in a row. My poor plants took a beating. They're all a little wilted. Hopefully the cooler temperatures this week plus some extra water will help them to perk back up.
Well, all my plants except my succulents. They're fine of course lol.
But dammit, I want tomatoes!

I'm so amused by this conversation with a mutual friend of H and I: [14:01] mutual friend: meh, he hasn't really chatted with me in a while [14:05] me: yeah, well, he's usually bad about starting conversations with most people [14:06] mutual friend: well if he were more fun to chat with I'd talk to him more [14:06] me: hahahahahahahahaha [14:07] me: it is like getting blood from a stone some days isn't it? [14:07] mutual friend: yeah

Sorry to hear about the trying journey, but glad you're back. I missed you too!
Funny, our H's and their blood from a stone qualities. I was just thinking that about my H yesterday. I wish I had the answer to it; I guess just leave them alone and hope they come out of their funk. Philosophical Lisa rears her head. Are we having any naughty talk on here tonight? Where's K when you need her?!
Michelle, I went back and read your first thread just for kicks. You've come a long way since November. Keep it up!
I guess I didn't connect that OW is a college student. So, your husband really is on a MLC or whatever, living the college fun he never got to have. I'm confident he'll come out of it. Happy Monday! (whatever that means)
