I got screwed. If my L was there she could've defended me the same way JA's L defended him.

So right now I am p*ssed off beyond belief. I am deciding to whether I am going to fire my L but that means I almost have to start back from square one.

No matter what, she will be hearing from me. I think it was totally unprofessional of her to do what she did to me.

No heads up, nothing.

I got screwed in court today because she wasn't there.

So how do you like that for a screwy day in court?

OMG! Are you my twin? My L is going to plead his motion to withdraw on Wednesday, then leave. That is what the paralegal told me. I will be left standing there with no one to plead the other motions---a sure fire way for me to get screwed over in court!

What the H*LL is it with these lawyers???? You get someone who is highly recommended, pay an arm and a leg, you think they've got your back, and then they screw you over!

How is this right?

Mrs. H, I am so, so sorry. The only caution I have is, do NOT fire her if you cannot afford the retainer fee for a new attorney. But you need to DEMAND that she start representing you properly. And get her to file a motion for a new Law Guardian to be appointed if AT ALL possible.

Quite frankly, I think you need to file a motion for a change of venue to another court---another judge.

Why are we the ones getting screwed over here? Our H's are the ones behaving horribly, and they are getting rewarded for it? What is wrong with this picture?
