I HEAR you TOTALLY. Wow - you summed it all up much better, too. Even they way you feel toward your spouse. I am so detached - I'm finally surviving this very well now. I also think my H is a wonderful human being, and i wish him to be only happy. (i'm truly not 'punishing' him, as has been suggested)
But for me, i know my detachment is SO UNnatural for me (and is only surficial - at least for now). If i open up to physical touch, i'm afraid it will come out and break my armor - and i'll be a crying pile of Needs and Anger again.
Anyway, I hope that you can work it out. Will you come back and let us know what happens? I do still think if there's ANY hope, it's still worth a shot.
