I know that getting this kind of news is another blow, but hopefully it's another link in the chain of detachment. First of all, I don't believe it's you that he hates at all. He's just projecting. He doesn't like himself but he has you to divert those bad feelings away from him. Actually I really don't think most of the WAW's HATE the LBS. They just need justification and the mistakes we may have made give them ammo.
I think that was so nice of husband's co-worker to make the call about the party. What you said about him being concerned for both of you is probably the truth. Who knows, he might not agree with what your husband has done and you handled the call really well.
