I've been absent because I'm trying to get my house in order for the influx of family coming down for the graduation party. I have so much to do, it's not even going to be possible. Geez, I'll have 17 people staying at my house and I'm trying to configure the sleeping arrangements. I think some people are going to have to spend the night in sleeping bags in closets!
I don't know that these guys are jealous. I think they're just stupid. They're like pre-teens who don't really care about anyone but themselves. They just don't really think.
I can't waste time worrying about them either. As long as we love our kids and they know it, they'll be ok. As long as they know that one of their parents is there no matter what, they'll be ok. You have a good kid Karen, enjoy him. I know you do.
Oh, and I know exactly what you mean about the Kleenex moments. Every single milestone has teared me up completely. I know at this HS graduation where my BABIES will be graduating, I will be there with some Kleenex.
