This might sound weird, but I think it's good that H said "i'm just so f----ing busy." like, he knows his life is outta control, sick, unsustainable. Also, you said he will try to heal his wounds by himself!! you believe he is going to work on himself!!!! that is big, I remember in the past it sounded like you weren't sure he ever would get to work on that. For some reason I thought he was already in IC though? because he was getting indivdual assignments from the C?
Would you feel comfortable mentioning to your H something like, "if you are unhappy with your family, how about doing something different?"
I actually have been db'ing my mom (without knowing it) for almost 18 months now and even though I thought we were way too far apart to connect we are now connecting. Maybe he doesn't have energy to deal with this now, but to plant a little seed in his EXTREMELY HANDSOME GREEK HEAD, maybe it will germinate down the line....
Kalni - things seem to be going up for you. I had my son at my office today and he was looking at some pictures I had of a trip I made to the Cook Islands long ago and he mentioned he would like to pick our next vacation (after Utah) to be there. I asked him "what about Greece?" and he got very excited.

I also wanted to say that I'm jealous of your interactions with H. My H got the 7 year itch almost exactly the same timing as you, but your situation looks really promising. It is really great that your H is trying to figure it out, even though he's struggling with the decision. I know that when your in the middle of it, its hard to see the positives, because lets face it there are still so many disappointments. I have high hopes that you are going to DB your marriage back together!
I'me getting so busy making preparations for the trip (and shopping ) that I've missed the whole day of sunshine yesterday! I'm happy to learn that everything goes well for you.
