WOW! Very interesting! I was thinking about going to a professional tarot reader a while ago but then I thought better of it. What if I'm told something (H is coming back or H is not coming back)and I start acting AS IF accordingly to what I've heard? Just didn't like the idea.
I understand your frustration with H. Unfortunately it's typical of WAS. Doesn't matter how much time they sp[end with kids, if any, they are still NOT THERE. I think you should talk it over with H later, when you are not angry, and tell him calmly that you need him to be with D on such and such days. And just stick to the arrangement. There is nothing you can do about him leaving D at his parents', I'm afraid.
