This article is typical for self observed, selfish man-kind. So pleeesee...."
Well, be sure and tell your friend that there's a book for men by the same authors, and it's equally good. I just read it. So, it works both ways
Honestly, I was shocked by MWD's article, that women cause 3 out of 4 of the divorces today by becoming a WAW. Never would have thought that until it happened to me. The stereotype is that men are the ones who have affairs, leaving, etc, which is way off. http://divorcebusting.com/a_walkaway_wife.htm
Me: 30 W: 28 T 8, M 6 S: 7-27-2007 W filed (again) 3-2011 Served 8-2011 Responded, now dark "I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear" MLK
Hmmm, I see that it is mostly men that have As (both in my experience and also based on statistics). I think a lot of WAWs leave because of real or perceived abused, emotional usually of course.
In CA, 90% of D are filed by women.
I think a lot of men, even if they have emotionally walked out on the M, don't file for D.
I do find the WAW syndrome interesting. Of course, women tend to be the more passive and thus passive-aggressive personalities in most Rs which might be part of it.

Jon - yep, haven't read the other book but I know she's written them from both perspectives. I think that makes her more "trustable" in general.
Michelle - WOW... 90%?? Dang. I wonder how many of those are from WAWs and how many are from women whose H's bailed on the M but didn't file, like you mentioned.

Nope, nail is still damaged. I need to see if my roommate has french tip nail colour at home tonight.
In other news, international program this summer is a no-go. They haven't got their $h!t together, can't tell me for another week at least whether I'm in, and my resident class starts Monday (which I'd have to drop if I got in to the international one). Plus getting time off work, buying plane tickets, etc. Grrrrrrrr them. So, I'll just have to go to Austria on my own at some point just for fun.

Greece is the most beautiful place I've ever been! Go there first!
So another surprise from your H!? He was relaxed and wanted to hang out with you all evening. Thats good !? Well done on nearly finishing college and getting such good grades! (Here its 100% is good, 40% or under is bad, but I am assuming that yuor 3.11 was excellent in the US!)
Also, that article did sound a little sexist and one sided.. all that a woman is the crown on the man stuff. Hmm ! I guess equality wasnt really touted much around the time the bible was written, it didnt start appearing until the 1970s!
Anyway, you sound like you have been an excellent partner to your H and didnt really do anything "wrong". I reckon his issue lies more in his family history and his Dads pattern of runing from commitment, as he is doing, than whether or not you ever rolled your eyes at him in company...?

Re my grades, for anyone who is wondering it's a 0-4 scale. A 3.0 is a "B" average on the F-D-C-B-A scale. Especially for law school, where it is very competitive, I have worked very hard but am happy with my grades.
The article was one-sided. But, it was only written for women. So, whatever. I blow off the Bible stuff anyways as I'm not terribly religious. I just took out of the six points.
And I was bad about rolling my eyes.
I'm off to the festival. Later!

So, nobody wanted to go with me to the festival. Not H or any other friends.
Positives: 1) H answered his phone when I called and was pleasant; 2) He told me he was busy and where he was; 3) he said we'd have to try and meet up "next time".
Also, I spent the best 20 minutes of the last month today I got a massage, OMG I feel good. The guy noticed that my left shoulder is weird (I dislocated it almost 3 years ago) and spent a lot of time making sure everything sits right in the socket. I feel good, although my shoulder-blade hurts because the muscles aren't used to being where they're supposed to be lol.
I also bought a pair of earrings.
