Well the boy is home, sleeping in as he usually does when he is here! He met me at my friends house where we were having happy hour (as usual these days...) and her son was showing off his (many) tattoos. Just for fun I asked him if he had any. He got all flustered and everyone laughed! It turns out he got one last year while he was spending a lot of time w/ a tattoo artist buddy who did it for free. Not my particular cup of tea, but a cute design from 1928 on the side of his calf.
I was sad that he wasn't able to share it with me at the time...But I guess I told him last year if he had one I didn't want to see it! So much for me trying to be a Mom. You can take the girl out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the girl. Tho honestly times are so different now. During the time that I have lived in California it seems that so many things that were considered completely unacceptable have moved into the mainstream. At first I thought it was just California culture, but now I think it is just the times.
He took me out to dinner! How nice. And then he was off to look up friends. I went to bed and then Argo barked like mad when he came home in the middle of the night.
Thanks Karen!
Take care,
SG
