TAL, I can understand what you mean about ending it sooner with your H if you had financial means. I *could* support them, but just barely. Almost 'too scary' barely. So I will have to rely on H for some things. But I know what you are saying. I totally get it.
Don't think of it as waiting to get a job, think of it as the important time with your sons in their early years. This is why I put up with 4-5 hours sleep at night, so I can be there for them during the day.
