Hello everyone, I do not belong in this forum but I have a question to those of you who are piecing your M back together.
I am a regular in the newcomer section. I have been on this board for about 6-7 weeks now, I feel that I had made some great progress these past 3 weeks as I was starting to understand detaching and not be so needy. Well as I thought things were going better, I received Seperation papers in the mail this week. W and I have been S for 5 months now. There is no OP involved, I was just an A$$ in our marriage that got me to this point. W and I were married 14 years, together 22, high school sweethearts.
My question is this, things were looking so much better for us these past few weeks, and then the seperation papers came. Now I am lost and wondering if there still is a chance to save our M. I know once the lawyers get involved it will turn ugly and will only carry us further apart. For those of you who have been able to piece your M back together, did you go through the lawyer process? If so, how did you remain calm through it, W is requesting some ridiculous divisions of property and alimony. Any help and guidance will be appreciated, I need all I can get right now.
