Took my ladies to the circus this morning. We are involved with Shriners Hospital (mom works there, we are volunteers), so this is a yearly thing for us. First time without H, and we had a fabulous time. H was working, or I would have invited him. We met my brother and nephew (turned 3, and he and my D3 are peas in a pod). D3 was brave this year and interacted with clowns. D6 was fascinated by the human acts. They both rode ponies. A lovely lovely day. H seemed wistful when the girls gushed about the day, but I included him by forwarding pictures. D3's first time on a pony AND talking to clowns, big day for her.
H continues to be so nice, yet so very distant. He is afraid to be my 'friend' for whatever reason. I talked about mediation this week. Told him we will see the mediator together, or I will hire an attorney by the end of May. I need change. H avoided eye contact and hemmed and hawed. We shall see.
Hey LWB, I read that yesterday was your anniversary. Ugh! Tough day, I'm sure. But it sounds like you had a GREAT day with your girls today - making new memories. The circus is so much fun at that age! But sorry to hear that your H still sounds lost...

Thanks for the kind words, Joie. Funny, the actual day (anniversary) wasn't hard, but the day after, some heavy cloud hit me late in the evening, I could hardly function. It was all I could do to get in bed, and sleep after the girls were settled. I was much better after that.
