I know what you are saying Karen. Hope things get easier with kitty and the syringe stuff. I remember having to that once with my cat. Not fun! And yeah, funny how that is with the prescriptions.

Thanks, Karen.

I remember when I first got my last cat. He was a kitten and I my previous cat before him was old and slept a lot. Well, getting this kitten drove me up the wall. I was used to the calm, quiet cat and now, I had this rambunctious hairball that ran around like a madman! I remember telling my then H to be, that I didn't think I could develop feelings for the little devil because he just got on my last nerve. Sure enough after a short time. He and I were never separate. He grew up and as he did, grew into this amazing cat that I will never forget. He was so loving and cuddly and melted my heart every day. I miss him terribly and my heart still aches for him.

LOL thats funny Fig! and I know what you mean! She is one fiesty lil kitty

Visit to the vet today, another $70.00! geeze! Shes on some anti worm meds, that i have to somehow syringe into her mouth , tried tonight w/ the help of my mom and you would think we were trying to hold down a full grown tiger. This is NOT gonna be fun.

Funny now I have found a place I can get my prescriptions for $4.00 I had to pay $45.00 for hers! \:o

K, try wrapping her in a towel or blanket so she can't move while you syringe that stuff into her mouth.

It will be OK.

Hi Karen: Reading your post as my one year old kitten "Blu" (longhair Ragdoll)does gymnastics with a pipe cleaner. Never saw anyone have so much fun with objects before. Now he came up to the french door (I have my laptop in the dining room) and Tango (my 1.5 year old calico kitten) is on my side of the door. They're batting each other through and around the partially opened door. It is so funny to watch. Kittens are wonderful. I could see you lying on the couch nursing your headache while your little one curls up in the crook of your arm.

How about mixing the meds in a bit of tuna or tuna "juice". Mine will take anything in tuna. But as Jill points out, wrapping those pesky claws in a towel makes them much more easy to control.

I love reading your kitten antics. Some days I wish I had a houseful. My kittens have enriched our lives a hundredfold.

Hey Trip and Jilly!

Well the med thing is getting a bit easier, I did it myself for the first time this a.m, she still fusses but knows this is how it has to be,gotta hide the syringe behind my back till i'm right next to her , or shes outta here lol Smart lil thang

Thanks for your advice, I am gonna still need some.
We are getting along better, starting to bond, I may actually be feelin something for the lil stinker \:\)

Today I went to a Stop The Quarry( granite quarry) get together in my neighborhood, my dad as usual is on the committee ( and here I was worried hed be bored when he retired!) we made a h uge living sign, HUGE and a newspaper and news helicopter flew over and took the pic, I was part of the "A" lol
it was a great event, a big turn out, more then 1,000 people, local school band, etc. Nice to do something you feel strong about.

B is home, the weekend went well, considering, both his nephews were there w/ him and his two D, so his brother knows how much his family cares, the town I guess is really supportive and they are holding some ho down in a few weeks for him.

Sadly B said he dosnt think his Brother will live to the end of the week. So he said his goodbyes. \:\(

Gosh I hate to think about that, I love my siblings so much, even my Brother lol , couldnt stand the thought of them not being around.

Hope everyones weekend was good! and your weather was great!

oh Hi Barb
Didnt see you post.
Yea I would of mixed it in something but then because we think she may have some probs w/ her stomach and digestion, I'm a lil hesitant to give her anything but her kitty chow and water, we have just squirted it into the side of her mouth,,,she licks her chops for 5 mins after lol

I told S he was the same, his dad had to hold him down while i got meds in him and hed make such a fuss!! lol geeze kids and kits!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Ok feel a mlc of my own coming on, I deserve it , doncha think? lol, wouldnt be destructive though- I've seen first hand what that can do!

Today my baby is 23 \:\) I miss him tho and feel bad that he dosnt have family around and he and his friends are cramming for finals
so not too much partying going on. I tm him at exactly midnight, he was in the library, he called, his GF in NY set her alarm for 3:00 a.m, to call him, thought that was very sweet of her.

I can say my baby bird is well out of the n est, although does need to come back to it for maybe one last summer lol
So now its time for ME!! yeah!!! lol

It feels weird not to have to take care of, or be in charge of anyone anymore maybe why i got goofy kitty \:\) who, btw, I have learned to love already \:\) ;\)
its hard for us women to say ,ok go your on your own, you dont need me, cya!

I can relate to how Barbs feeling right now. Went thru something similar 2 yrs ago when R left for college.
then turning around and not having these people staring at you to help them, and be there for them.

After you get over that tho, you start to think, wow, this is kinda neat! I dont have to foddle over anyone! no dinners to prepare, homework to help with, rides to give, IN LAWS to please! lol

Now its time for me! I have found someone i want to spend some me time with but we both agree, our job as parents is for the most part done. Our kids are grown and for the most part on their own. Its time for US!! wheres that RV????

Happy Birthday to your son!

23. What a great age. His girlfriend setting her alarm was sooo sweet.

You sound great.

Yes, you deserve your own MLC, a good one, like you said.

Enjoy the hell out of it sugar.
