This is for everybody, I'm just putting it on LWB's thread. I was shocked by an email I got today from my former real estate broker. I say former because she sold the business 4 months ago and just became one of the agents after that.
She and her husband went to Texas because the husband's father is dying of cancer. So now she is there and planning the funeral, etc, and she writes to us all that she is not coming back to Florida. She and the husband have decided to stay in Texas and start a new life.
Why do I find that so shocking? I just can't believe that she could leave behind her entire life, her several houses (she invested in real estate), her son who is 28 and is in a halfway house in Florida after being convicted of drunk driving.
Does anyone else think this is weird? Or do people do that....spend 10 years building a life somewhere and then one day chuck it and go somewhere else with nothing more than a goodbye note.
I know what you will say.....I'm asking the wrong people. You all had it done to you. She is at least staying with her husband. I don't know. I live in a world where I expect more permanance.
