I actually had over the years several D&C's just because I had very heavy periods going on for weeks not days at a time. I never had cancer or any other problems. It just sometimes helps to give the womb a "spring clean".
Hope it all goes well, if you have already been told you have a type of cancer though you really should be getting treatment ASAP. I would certainly be contactin the hospital to make sure your recods etc haven't gone astray.
